Garfield Heights High School Class Of 1962 |
|
Well the reunion was great fun! During the day on Friday some of us toured the new Garfield Heights High School and were very impressed with this beautiful facility. Friday night the Cleveland Indians managed to scrape up two whole hits and loose to the Boston Red Socks who also are not doing well this season. We did not really care as we were having fun socializing and catching up on what life had thrown at us. Saturday afternoon we visited the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and got to see and hear rock and roll history first hand. It was amazing and fun roaming around together to see videos of all of the artists, to see their musical instruments, and to hear their music again. Saturday night we got together again for the dinner/dance at the Marriot Rennasaince next to the Terminal Tower. It was an intimate setting with low lighting and big round tables. The D.J. played music from the early sixties in the background and did a great job. Unfortunately for him, most of us were too busy catching up to do much dancing. We stood up and sang the alma mater and the fight song for old Garfield High. We projected this website onto a wall and so that eveyone would be aware of it and use it as a central communication point in the future. We passed out two DVD sets of videos taken in the old high shool in 2002 and 2004. These DVD's are free to any alumni. Just send the webmaster an e-mail with your address. We also have bricks from the old high school. Again, just send an e-mail to the webmaster and you will receive a brick via UPS. We only have about 50 bricks. We will be adding photos and movies from the reunion to this website in the next month or so. We will also be adding a lot of other photos and features. So make sure that you refresh each page when you revisit this website so that you are looking at the website and not a cache page in your computer. Check back each week for additions to this website.
